DAY 1

Walkaround tour in Rome

On DAY1, after the welcome and the check in at the hotel, our expert guide will accompany you for a private walkaround tour in Rome. Your English speaking guide will tell you all about the history of these unique places. The Colosseum, built more than 2000 years ago, is still one of the major attractions that Rome has to offer. During its glory days, the Colosseum seated about 50,000 people and presented, among others, spectacular gladiatorial contests. Today, you canstill marvel at its beautiful architecture and you can dream yourself back in time, to those days when the Amphitheatre was filled with the excited voices of thousands of Romans as they watched the gladiators fight. Marvel at the wonderful architecture of Piazza Venezia. Retrace the history of Altare della Patria (the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier), which serves as an amazing vantage point from which you can enjoy breathtaking views of Rome. Follow your guide to the Trevi Fountain, the largest Baroque fountain in the city and one of the most beautiful fountains in the whole world. Completed in 1762, the fountain has for a long time been associated with a wonderful legend. If you throw a coin into the fountain, you are certain to return to Rome.

DAY 2

Cuisine Courses

On DAY2, in the morning time, you will do Italian cuisine courses, where you will learn traditional dishes of Italian and Roman food: pasta, pizza, seconds, and desserts. The courses take place in totally practical way: the chef shows the steps to follow and the participants replicate, each individually, in their desk, in individual portions, the dishes on the menu. First, you will head to the central food market with the Chef for picking up the ingredients for your lunch. You will meet the butchers, the bakers, and the farmers selling vegetables from their gardens. You will learn how to distinguish the highest quality ingredients and taste local foods and wines! After that you will reach the school which is based in front of Basilica of St. John Lateran, in a unique structure: a kitchen with 16 workstations and 16 cooktops, which enable the guests to cook individually and independently; it all takes place on the street level that makes, the present protagonists of a show in the eyes of passers, looking through the windows. Of course, you will eat your own dish, so you’d better be an attentive student while the Chef is teaching! In the afternoon, you will be transferred in Siena with our luxury Mercedes minivan (about 2,5 hours).

DAY 3

Ride on the Chianti hills

On DAY3, in the breathtaking surrounds of the Chianti hills, come ride with us: rev your engine and get ready for an exciting four-wheel adventure you will never forget, through mud yet as comfortable as possible. Get some speed, get dirty, and experience this unique way to see the beauty of Chianti with our Vintage 4-wheel vehicles. This is more than dining in Tuscany, this is going to the roots of Tuscany through its most precious ingredients and traditions.

DAY 4

Exclusive tour and tasting in Tuscany

On  DAY4 we are very pleased to welcome our guests to Castiglion del Bosco, one of the world’s most beautiful wine estates. Here guests can immerse themselves in the beauty of this authentic corner of Tuscany, a setting of unparalleled elegance and refinement, while enjoying a selection of the estate’s top wines. An exclusive tour and tasting, guided by our experienced staff. A perfect choice for guests who are seeking an unique and exclusive wine experience in Tuscany. This half day tour is a great introduction to the Brunello di Montalcino region and to the wines produced at Castiglion del Bosco, exploring the process from grape to wine, while visiting the vineyards, the cellars and the ageing room. This tour will allow guests to experience the exclusive “Members’ Cellar”, before enjoying the tasting of 5 wines, including Brunello di Montalcino. Tasting are accompanied by fresh home-made bread, olive oil and honey. In the afternoon discover Tuscany culinary tradition with our Tuscan Cooking Class. High-quality local products create a deep bond with this area’s identity and through these cooking class you, will have the opportunity to go deep down the roots of Tuscany and learn the secrets of this cuisine, with a course held in a charming villa of 700. Choose from three menus and once you understand which one you prefer, you will be shown all the necessary steps to create marvellous soups like the famous ribollita or the pappa al pomodoro, homemade pasta such as tagliatelle, pappardelle and tagliolini. You will also master the art of pairing each past with its most suitable sauce. Learn actively how to make bread and “schiacciata”, one of Tuscany’s top bakery treats. It’s a type of flat bread made with flour, water, yeast, salt and olive oil, produced daily at your local “forno” or “Panetteria”. Schiacciata literally means “squashed” and depending on the area where it’s made, it can also be called ciaccia, schiaccia, focaccia or ciaccino. You will learn how to create desserts such as tiramisu or fruit tarts. Your cooking class will end with a deserved tasting, where students will sample first hand all the delicious dishes prepared during the course of the day. And that’s not all. Every dish can be accompanied by excellent local wine. Once back at home, you’ll know to surprise everybody with your food-making and wine-pairing new skills!

DAY 5

Discover “Cantina Antinori”

On  DAY5, after the breakfast, you will have the chance to discover one of the most famous winery in Italy, the “Cantina Antinori”. An experience of the architecture, the flavors, and the emotions which will reveal, at the same time, both the full majesty of the cellar and the intensity of the most representative wines. Built entirely with locally sourced materials, respectful of the surrounding environment and preserving with great care the Tuscan landscape, it’s a milestone in the history of the Marchesi Antinori company. The winery has become a place to discover the pleasures of living and breathing wine and to understand its progression: pressing, fermentation and aging – all without interfering with the wine’s quality. The winery recounts about 26 generations of wine passion, Tuscan essence, tradition and steady innovation to who requests an extraordinary and unique experience. The visit will finish in the “Rinuccio 1180” restaurant overlooking over the hills of Chianti, where Cont’Ugo and Guado al Tasso and the dessert wine Muffato della Sala will accompany dishes from the Tuscan tradition re-elaborated in a contemporary vein. In the afternoon you will be transferred with our luxury Mercedes minivan at “The Mall”, a luxury outlet center created to offer customers products of excellence at extremely advantageous prices. Immersed in the idyllic Tuscan countryside in an elegant and refined architectural space, The Mall outlet center is the unique home to a selection of the most exclusive labels of international fashion. Customers can stroll through shops dedicated to women’s, men’s and children’s clothing and accessories, perfumes, shoes and articles for the home.

DAY 6

Florentine gondola on Arno River

On  DAY6, you will live an unforgettable experience, a viable alternative to see Florence city center, the Florentine gondola on Arno River. This is a fantastic seated experience that will allow travellers to observe Florence wonders from an original, unique point of view. What is the “barchetto” exactly? The barchetto is a wooden boat whose shape is reminiscent of the Venetian gondola which, in antiquity, was used for the transport of goods for the construction of the city walls along the river. To date the original “Barchetti” sailing Arno in Florence are only four. Participating this tour one will have an extraordinary chance to enjoy some true beauties of the Tuscan capital with a local exceptional tour guide and discover the major attractions of the city. A glass of prosecco completes the deal while enjoying the splendour of Florence at the sunset, when the landscape is coloured with ocher and red, and it all looks like a perfect picture. DAY 7

Departure

On DAY7 our private luxury Mercedes minivan will be available for transfer you to the airport. Lunch and Dinner are included if purchased.
